Located in Salen, opposite Salen Jetty Shop, Loch Sunart Yarns & Buttons produces hand spun knitting yarns in a range of unusual fibres, and also supplies a fabulous selection of natural shell, horn, slate and wooden buttons.
Loch Sunart Yarns & Buttons is a small single-handed, predominantly mail order, hand spinning business, located in the beautiful surroundings of Salen, on the Ardnamurchan peninsula.
Using natural and unusual fibres such as alpaca, camel down, cashmere and rare breed sheep wools, often blended with silk, I produce a hand spun range of gorgeous knitting yarns in a range of natural colours. I spin many of my yarns to order for customers, but ready spun hanks are also available to buy in the shop. Together with a collection of really different natural shell, horn, slate and wooden buttons, crafters have access to a fabulous selection of buttons to complement any of their craft projects – no plastic here!
